                       NOTE FROM KRISTIAN:                        

            Okay, so I looked through my contributors' 
              submissions for this topic, chose the 
             funniest, composed the list, sent it in.

            Chris White's assistant, the final proofer 
          before publishing, said she wouldn't email it 
            because of what I chose for the Number One.

          Doesn't matter that film fans know the group 
        we teased makes a lot of wonderful, poetic films; 
         that I personally like women from said country; 
        or most importantly, that it's an obvious play on 
       fear-mongering. She just swore that Mr. White would 
        never let it fly and refused to publish it.

             Consider this guerilla movie-list making.

 9. At the current rates of exchange it's a little cheaper than
    actually going to the countries themselves.

 8. Even if you don't speak a foreign language, dialogue is still
    more intelligible than the last Sylvester Stallone film.

 7. Anything to get out of Wisconsin in February.

 6. Because nobody else understands that 20-minute scene you shot
    of a woman staring out the window and sighing.

 5. Gérard Depardieu owes you a drink.

 4. More body hair in the nude scenes -- I mean, if you're into
    that kind of thing, of course...

 3. It's the only place where I feel comfortable wearing my kilt,
    beret, ascot and monocle.

 2. Because for some reason, Polanski won't go to Sundance.
